Quilter Opens Office In Wales

Wealth manager Quilter, part of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, has opened an office in North Wales. The office, in Llandudno, will serve the region previously managed by the Liverpool office. Colin Wickens and Matthew Gilman, who joined the Liverpool office in January last year, will now be based in North Wales, along with consultant Philip Brown. “Demand for our services is growing across the northwest of England and Wales and we have increased our team of investment managers reporting through Liverpool by 50 per cent over the last twelve months,” said Richard Thorn, who will run the North Wales office and is head of the Liverpool office. In other recent news, in December the company appointed William Sparks as an investment manager within its Dublin investment team. Sparks joined from Dolmen Stockbrokers, having previously worked for Davy, the stockbroking and advisory firm. Also in December, Graham Jones was hired as an investment manager for Quilter's Liverpool office, after having spent 20 years at Deutsche Bank.
